"To quote my husband, "it's really hard to find a good painter." Ed and his crew are top-notch! We first hired Ed last June 2014 to paint our main level, including lots of newly-installed woodwork: ceiling treatments and crown moulding. Given the flawless results, we hired Ed again to paint our baby's room and kids' bath. One year later on 5/26/2015, the crew arrived exactly on time and consisted of the same friendly faces. Again, we had lots of recently installed woodwork, including 42" wainscoting and crown moulding, and some necessary drywall repairs from electrical projects. Once again, the results are flawless. Being about 32 weeks pregnant on painting day, I appreciated Ed's patience as I debated the perfect gray for the walls right up until his trip to the Ben Moore store. He also worked with us to paint a custom color behind a cut-out elephant wood plaque, and helped me re-hang the plaque the following morning to ensure the results were just right. Finally, Ed and his crew took great care for our brand-new baby furniture, ceiling fan, bath light fixtures, and hardwood floors."

"Started as planned and took exactly the amount of time predicted. They did a fabulous job at surface preparation, including caulking all seams around trim. Paint lines around trim are crisp and straight. Covered all surfaces and furniture with drop cloths and plastic sheeting, so no extraneous drips or splatter anywhere. Very professional and cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day so we could use the spaces in the evening. A pleasure to work with."

"I was not home when Mr. Spall came out to do the estimate on the work. My husband had been dealing with all the contractors who gave us estimates. We had originally thought about having our wood wrapped, but would lose some of our decorative moldings in the process, not to mention that we had received high estimates that we could not afford at this time. My husband was impressed with Mr. Spall's professionalism and his suggestions on what he could do to help us with the rotting wood issues on the house. He was friendly and took time to explain every detail and answer all questions, demonstrating his knowledge for his profession. My husband asked him to come out again to talk to me about what they planned to do, and he was very pleasant about taking more time to answer my questions. We were impressed with his professionalism, thus decided to hire his firm. The Edwards crew were very nice and professional. They worked hard and meticulously replaced rotten wood with PVC boards, filled cracks and seams, and each night cleaned up carefully after themselves. Their work was flawless and professional. We had forgotten to ask them to remove some window hardware the first day, and they were very sweet about removing it the next day and filling in screw holes and repainting the wood trim. We are delighted with the results. We highly recommend the Edwards crew for outside paint and repair work. We plan to hire them again for interior painting in the future."

It was how the recommended repairs were made, and the thorough prep -- the key to a long lasting paint job: power washing, scraping, sanding, caulking were observed -- all before the first coat of paint. As additional defects were discovered, Ed brought them to our attention with explanation and recommendations. They never just "painted over" a defect. The project was finished within the quoted time and price with adjustment for additional repairs as agreed to. "Your team did such a BEAUTIFUL job updating our interiors this week. The kitchen walls, ceiling, door trim and arches were just gorgeous. Every surface in the kitchen was re-painted so beautifully. My upstairs bathroom — love all the white paint, and the inside of the room door and door frames were also done beautifully. The living room wall with the big plaster problem looked so ugly, but Fortunato made such a mess look like something he could easily fix. The work he did repairing that plaster disaster was flawless, and that wall looks like nothing ever happened. Everything is so totally top notch. We love Ed and his team. We will continue to call them back, and will continue to recommend them."

"Ed impressed us from the very beginning and throughout the entire project, and we intend to use his company for all future painting. He returned my initial phone call timely, and openly stated his time frame to schedule work (approximately three weeks at Memorial Day weekend). He arrived for the estimate appointment exactly on time, and he answered our questions (and I had a lot!) very thoroughly, which clearly defined expectations. We interviewed two other painters, who rushed in and out of our house. Ed and his crew worked in our house for three days and arrived each morning at precisely 7:30. They rolled out lots of paper, drop cloths, and plastic to protect our hardwood floors and stone fireplace. They painted logically from the back of the house to the front, and the ceilings first, then crown moulding, followed by walls, and finally baseboards. This resulted in extremely neat and professional results. For example, we have cream kitchen cabinets with dark blue-gray paint, and the paint lines are so crisp. We also change paints colors from room to room, and those transitions are very clean. Ed went above and beyond — he cleaned all the builder's paint off our recessed lights, repaired a big drywall crack just outside the scope of front foyer work, and at no extra charge agreed to a last-minute decision to paint the exterior white trim around the door for a fresher look. He was very patient with our two small dogs. I thought all the excellent reviews here were too good to be true, but I assure you that your home will be in good hands with Ed & crew!"

I left a message on the company line over the weekend asking to schedule a quick turn-around on a job I needed done and he called me back moments later ready to set up a time to do the walk through. An hour later he was at the house not only giving us estimates on what it would take to get his team in to handle the job but also offering plenty of helpful tips to help my wife and I get through painting the rest of the house efficiently and quickly. I would have liked to give them A grades throughout but there was a very small bit of touch up work that needed to be done, which Ed was quick to address the following afternoon and the walls look great now. "Overall, Ed and his team did a fabulous job and I have absolutely no regrets in hiring them. All four vendors who I received bids from were very professional, but Ed Spall observed and pointed out things which needed to be done which none of the others did. He is a true painter and has a unique eye for detail. He responded immediately to my request for an estimate and was even able to come on the weekend (twice) to discuss details. His bid was very competitive and he was able to accommodate my schedule, the designer's recommendations on paint textures and colors and coordinated with a separate vendor responsible for installing all new blinds throughout the small condo. Ed's crew removed all the old blinds and batched/painted where they had been anchored to the wall, so that when the new blinds were installed they could be placed onto a new service. The final product is beautiful. Ed was very accommodating and was able to complete 95% of the work during the weekend while I was out of town. He and his team took excellent care of the house and cleaned-up after themselves. He even removed 10 old cans of paint left behind by the previous owner. At no additional cost Ed met with myself and the designer 4 days after completion of the job. The designer was very impressed by the attention to details and quality of work by this crew. I am very happy with the quality of work that Edward Enterprises did and would not hesitate recommending him to others. For people living in the Manassas, Battery Heights area I do not think that you could go wrong working with this person and his experienced crew of professional painters."

"I found Edward Enterprises through a quick Google search which I then verified on Angie's List. Ed (the owner) was great; he emailed me and then called me right back and we talked for a bit. He came out to our house and did an on-site estimate where he walked through the entire house with me. He wasn't pushy at all - just talked about the way that they do things and the process. He then gave me a detailed estimate and gave me some options for start dates. A couple of things that I liked about Ed and his crew: 1. They were on time. 2. They were friendly. 3. Ed did not try and upsell paint that was more expensive just for the sake of it. He went over each type of paint and the best application for each. That was very helpful. 4. They did go one dollar over the estimate. 5. They did an EXCELLENT job. In short, if I have to paint again, Ed will be my first call."

"Ed and his team painted two interior rooms including the trim, and patched up some holes in other rooms of the house using our old paint. His price was quite fair and I knew from his estimate procedures that he would be thorough and "OCD" as he calls it, so worth it. I was not wrong. They showed up right on time on the day we scheduled. They were super fast - done with everything in half a day - and the quality of the work was outstanding. By far and away, the best painters we've ever hired - I wish we had had them do the other rooms in our house we had done last year. Suffice to say I will never use any other painter. They did the trim for free because I told him we were putting in new floors and he thought the old trim would make the new floors not look as nice. I thought that was going above and beyond. The holes where they patched and painted to match the existing paint came out amazing - you can't tell at all where the patch was made and the new paint added. They were extremely clean and efficient. I will definitely be calling Ed again."

"We hired Ed's company to paint half our house interior shortly after we bought it, where the preparation was so meticulous and end result so good we knew as long as his prices weren't ridiculous Ed's company would be the only one we use for paint jobs. In 2024 we had a wooden swingset, a deck, and some fence in various stages of needing paint. We hired Ed confident that his company would once again impress despite our having limited time to talk through the project, and as expected the job came out perfect. I'm sure it wasn't fun to work around ropes and the various swingset oddities but the end result looks incredible.
